MATERIALS: Gunmetal chain with tiny 1mm satellite beads to add texture. Star is 16mm in diameter (about 5/8") and is matte black, not shiny. All components are black or gunmetal plated.
Star is not 3-D, but a flat cutout of 20 gauge metal coated with black plating. It is thin ( .9mm thick ) but definitely not flimsy - it would take a lot of intentional effort and strength to bend it. See the last photo for a better look at the thickness of the stars.
CARE: Water/moisture and perfume are what cause most tarnishing - so the necklace needs to be stored in a dry place and not worn in the shower, pool or ocean. Limiting perfume in the neck area will also prolong the life of the necklace. Do not wear in the shower, pool or ocean.
