For the Silver chain: ***STERLING SILVER does contain silver and will need to be polished or cleaned periodically. It will appear dark or tarnished but will clean with a suede polishing cloth or silver cleaner. The darkening and tarnishing is normal for sterling silver and only requires cleaning to restore the shine.***

CARE: Water and perfume are what cause most tarnishing - so the necklace needs to be stored in a dry place and not worn in the shower or pool. Limiting perfume in the neck area will also prolong the life of the necklace.
